This is my first post!

Just a quick about me, my name is Nico, and I am currently a 28-year-old just trying to get through life in the SF Bay Area. I am a mechanical engineer by education, working in the manufacturing engineering space. Most things I do are a way to make my home as comfortable as possible, whether it’s making our house smart so I can turn lights off in bed, making my garage a space that is both usable and enjoyable to be in, making our home theater/gaming area as cozy as possible, or adding more and more plants to take care of. I just got married to my best friend, Shanna, and will probably be writing a lot about our lives in this blog.

Honestly, don’t know what this blog is going to be about just yet. Right now, I am just looking for a general place for outputs. Whether that’s something informal like this where it’s a place to post whatever is on my mind, kinda journal-esque, or a place to put pictures of travelling, or progress reports of projects; I just want somewhere that I can kinda look back on a bit.

I also don’t want to make this like a big thing. If I make it a big thing, I’m going to keep not doing it because I want the thing to be ‘perfect’. I think that was the issue I was having with other places that I have tried to do something like this (yeah I’m talking about you, Instagram), where I wanted to have completed projects there which made it seem very official. With this I feel like I can be more informal and almost ‘matter of fact’ about it. So, with it being a bit less official I can post a bit more and maybe end up with something cool to look back on.
